One year old

Dr Ryland

Our first full annual general meeting was addressed by local gp Dr David Ryland (left). Perhaps he looks surprised that we didn't at first understand the connections in his (excellent) talk between 'War - Angina - Viagra'!

What a first year we've had! 170 members, and a thriving organisation. What a second year we're looking forward to! For details of our monthly speaker-led meetings, see the 'monthly' page. The 'archive' gives full accounts of most of our past meetings. And the 'groups' page lists our twenty-or-so groups meeting around Todmorden tackling a range of different topics. Many thanks to John McNair our first Chairman for his central role in establishing u3a Todmorden as such a thriving organisation. Here he is receiving lifetime membership from current chairman Peter Gibson.
